The Embassy of Denmark is pleased to announce the opening of a Visa Application Centre operated by IVS Global (Tehran).

Applicants who wish to apply for a Visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your application being incomplete or a delay in being processed.

Please note that you may be required to appear before a Visa Officer for a personal interview at the Embassy of Denmark in Tehran, prior to a decision being taken on your application.

The Embassy of Denmark, Iran, will assess all applications.

Step 1 : Family Visit visa and Business,Residence and Work Permits applications for Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and Faroe Islands are accepted at the IVS application centre.

Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how much time it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of Denmark to decide on.

Step 2 : Please call Danish Visa Application Centre to schedule an appointment at the Visa Application Centre to submit your application. (Schedule an appointment)

Step 3 : Please go to the link “TYPE OF VISAS” to understand details of Short Stay applications.

Step 4 : You must apply in person. Your biometrics will be collected (please see more information under “BIOEMETRIC DATA COLLECTION”. Furthermore, your photograph and passport will be checked for validity and you will be issued a receipt for the fees and service charges paid, as an acknowledgement.

Step 5 : The Danish Embassy may call you for an for an interview at the Danish Embassy.

When to apply:

An application should in principle be lodged at least 15 calendar days before the intended visit and cannot be lodged earlier than three months before the start of the intended visit. It is the applicant's own responsibility to take the necessary precautions in relation to the processing time, deadlines, etc.
